  Wow, Lowe's never fails to impress me with the absolute incompetence and the wonderful unwillingness to assist customers. Today it was something very simple. I needed to buy an access panel for my garage - yes, one of those little 12x12 plastic things you fix to the wall with after you cut a hole, which provides an aesthetic cover while providing future access to faucets, etc. (but if you are reading this, you already know that). Easy enough, right? So I wander in, ask a guy in plumbing named Sxxxx, who promptly told me they don't have 'em. I responded that I bet they do, and explained once again what I was looking for. He then said "If we have 'em, they are in building materials." Okay, baloney. But rather than call BS on him, I dutifully walked the 80 yards to the other end of the store, where (of course), the access panels do not exist. So I went back to plumbing. Sxxxx was nowhere to be found. But I did find two actual plumbers looking at parts, and asked them. They said 'sure, they are right here, bottom shelf.' Thanks a million, Sxxxx!! I will be sure to only ask customers about your store from now on. Thanks again, Lowes, for setting the bar even lower than I thought possible.
